Despite its size and influence in the Australian market place the amount of information that is shared across the industry for policy initiatives is still very limited. The object of this project is to encourage cooperation across the industry as a trusted independent research entity.

As with the securities markets, the data will eventually allow the researchers to see possibilities for commercial products which will enhance the efficiency and integrity of the marketplace, initially under the banner of strict confidentiality while the market gets used to the advantages of cooperation.

The industry research partners are MLC, State Super, Mercer, Russell Investments and UniSuper.
