Deploying domain knowledge in the general insurance industry and state of the art data mining, management and visualisation together with social networking techniques, this project seek to risk scores insurance claims with a view to identifying claims that may be fraudulent.

The project was initiated in the NSW office of CGU (A division of IAG) and after being successfully trialled is being rolled out nationally. The next step will be to demonstrate the value to other parties and to help avoid policy arbitrage where parties move to other insurance providers in the industry.
