In order to celebrate the achievement of students awarded CMCRC scholarships, and the achievement of its PhD graduates, CMCRC held a cocktail party function at Table Bar in Sydney on the evening of Wednesday 19th May, 2004.

CMCRC staff, students and researchers from a variety of disciplines and institutions took the opportunity to get together and welcome the new students, as well as exchange ideas in a relaxed, informal environment.

CMCRC Chairman, Peter Warne, took the opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to the success of the CMCRC. He recognised the contribution of the researchers and their students and advised that the CMCRC is well placed to continue to acheive its twin objectives of fostering academically rigourous and commercially viable research.

Graham Partington, CMCRC Education Director, announced the scholarship winners during the presentation ceremony, with scholarship awards presented by CMCRC CEO, Mike Aitken.
