Capital Markets CRC Chief Scientist, Mike Aitken, won the Ernst & Young Australian Entrepreneur of the year award in the technology section last night. The award was for his work with the CMCRC and SMARTS Group in providing real-time compliance systems to exchanges, regulators and stock broking firms in over 30 countries around the World.

Professor Aitken commented: "I was driven by the need to show that the ideas that came from university had real world impact and I was aided in my mission by much hard work from CMCRC staff and researchers."
